Euroclad, Cardiff, UK
Euroclad is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of metal roofing and cladding systems and has built its considerable reputation over 25 years.

One recent major project they have been involved in was the new O2 arena (formerly the Millennium Dome) in London.

Euroclad took on the contract for the complex bullnose structure which was installed around the 468m perimeter of the roof.

They manufactured 95 x 5m sections of curved galvanised steel with no two sections being the same. These were finished with 760 Alpolic/fr skin elements which form the bullnose shape and conceal all the structural steelwork.

In total there were 13,775 individual components to be manufactured and assembled.

It was possible to supply the design consisting of this incredible level of variation on time and within budget by taking advantage of Euroclad Façade’s extensive CAD expertise in conjunction with the Axyz PanelBuilder software and 2 CNC routing machines.
